We all get bored of our usual workout routines. I am constantly trying to discover and build fresh routines for my clients, PE classes and bootcamps.

#keepingfitnessfresh #teckfitness

Here are 2 workout games you can bring with you anywhere. You just need a set of dice and/or a deck of cards. In all games all clients perform every move at the same time. Although each client gets a turn to roll the dice or pull cards this is an individual challenge.

Please ensure all clients perform a 5 minute warm-up prior to beginning games.
Example:
2 minutes light jog or stairs
30 seconds of: Walking Lunges, Body Weight Squats, Torso Twists, Butt Kicks, Leg Swings, Toe touch pulses
Roll The Dice

Equipment: 1 set of dice (2) & a piece of paper/white board and a pen
Instructions:
1) Write down 12 exercises

Example:

1 - Sprints
2 - Suicides
3 - Squat Jumps
4 - Plank Walks
5 - Sizzor Jumps
6 - Burpees
7 - Mountain Climbers
8 - Push-Ups
9 - Quick Feet
10 - Curtsy Jumps
11 - Sumo Walks or Jumps
12 - Walking Fwd or Bkw Lunges

2) Each client rolls the dice twice.
- First Roll indicates the number of sets of the exercise. One set is 20 seconds long
- Second Roll indicates which exercise

Body of Cards

Equipment: A deck of Cards & a piece of paper/white board and a pen
Instructions:
1) Divide the piece of paper/white board into 4 sections. Label each section with a card category (Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, Spades). List 3 exercises for each category. Client must perform all exercises/category

Example:
  • Hearts: Star jumps, Burpees, Mountain Climbers
  • Diamonds: Inch Worms, V-Ups, Plank
  • Clubs: Alt Rvs Lunges, Squat Jumps, Single Leg Bridge Raises
  • Spades: Push-Ups, Spider Push-ups, Tricep Push-ups

2) Each card = the number on the card
    Face cards = 10
Joker cards = pull again & clients must dbl that number of reps
Ace cards = Asshole Ace Holds: Add a 30 second hold in addition

Example:
  • Ace of Hearts: Bridge Holds
  • Ace of Diamonds: Plank
  • Ace of Clubs: Squat Holds
  • Ace of Spades: Lunge Holds (15/15)

Feeling weak, anxious and unconnected to my body lead me to start exercising. I joined a dance class once a week and after every dance class I had a glow about me, and it wasn't just from the sweat that I built up in class, it was something more. I realized it was the endorphins that were being produced from the physical activity I was doing. That was 13 years ago. Since then I have devoted my career life to helping other humans, like yourself, kick butt in their health and fitness goals. If you're looking for a helping hand or not even knowing where you should start... I would be more than honoured to help!
